Meet the Doctor

Back in 1977, in the suburbs of Middlesex County, New Jersey a sickly, six year old boy lay in a hospital bed naked, covered with cold, wet towels. Suffering from Tonsillitis, the doctors desperately tried to break his 105º fever. After five days in the hospital he was soon diagnosed with asthma and allergies of every kind; mold, pine, cats, dust mites, you name it. These diagnoses began a vicious cycle of weekly doctors’ visits accompanied by a shot each time until the age of fourteen and a steady regime of prescription medications.    He was also discouraged to play outside and rarely participated in gym class. By the time he was a teenager, he was physically inactive and obese. As a freshman, because of his physical limitations and being out of shape, he was consistently late to class in the next building. This caused him to receive detention. At detention he had to empty all of the heavy, metal trash cans in the school. Rushing through the job he picked up a can improperly and hurt his back. Believe it or not, this was actually the best thing that happened to him and changed his life. Looking for relief his mother took him to yet another doctor. This one was different, however. He was a chiropractor. After months of care he decided to try out for the Lacrosse team. Against all criticism from his medical doctors and parents, worried that he “would have to run”, he made the team. In the process, he began losing weight and his reliance on medication lessened. Continuing a chiropractic wellness plan, against criticism once again, he tried out and made the wrestling team. His weight continued to come off; from 200 lbs. to 159 lbs. Because he experienced this miraculous transformation he was convinced that chiropractic can heal and change lives and that one day he would become a chiropractor and serve others. And so he did! Graduating from Life University in Marietta, Georgia in 1997, he now practices right in your neighborhood!

This is not just a story, it is my true story. Without chiropractic I would be in a very different place. I am privileged to be where I am and have the opportunity to serve my community through chiropractic. It is my hope that everyone who has a spine comes in and gets checked.
